Fall 2020 Travel Registration Now Open

Updated: Jun 29, 2020

NASA is hopeful that everyone is staying safe and healthy during these challenging times. NASA has decided to begin registration for the 2020 Fall soccer season with the assumption that we will be able to return to play this September. To this end, registration will open on June 22, 2020, for this fall. In the event that the season cannot be played this fall, we will provide full refunds to everyone that is registered.

Registration is open for travel levels U12 (G6 - grades 5th & 6th) and U14 (G8 - grades 7th & 8th). All players in grades 5th to 8th will play at the travel level. The registration fee for this year will be $170*. NASA's goal is to assign all registered players to a team and targets 15 players per U12 (G6) team and 18 per U14 (G8) team. As much as we try to place all players, registering late runs you the risk of rosters reaching their maximum levels and your child being wait-listed. If wait-listed, you will be notified accordingly and your credit card will NOT be charged until a team assignment is made.

We are hoping to hold evaluations for the fall travel soccer season towards the end of July. The exact format, dates, and details will be sent in a follow-up email in the coming weeks. Players MUST be registered prior to their evaluation day(s).

For those of you new to NASA Travel soccer, evaluations serve several purposes. First and foremost, they are a key piece of data used to form all travel teams for the fall. All North Andover teams in G6 and up compete in the Essex County Youth Soccer Association league. This league has 4 divisions, and subgroups within each division. These divisions match teams of comparable skills and development to provide all players with a competitive soccer environment. To align with the league, NASA forms teams of players with comparable skills and slots them into the appropriate Division/Group within Essex County. Second, evaluations also feed into forming the 8 all-grade select teams (5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade boys and girls). Players who do not attend evaluations and do not have an excused absence (approved by the Travel Directors) prior to their evaluation date are not eligible for the all grade select team. Please see the updated Travel Team Policy on the NASA website for complete details. A follow-up email will be sent with more details on what is needed and expected at evaluations.

To register, please click on this REGISTRATION LINK to enter the NASA registration site. Your child's credentials will be sent to you at the bottom of this e-mail. If your child plays on another club team, please do not use the club's login credentials to register your player with NASA. NASA players who are affiliated with other clubs that use Gotsoccer must register with a unique NASA account so as to avoid the club teams from removing the players from the NASA registration.

Here are some key dates:

  • June 22, 2020 - Registration opens

  • July 3, 2020 - Uniform ordering deadline to ensure uniforms are available for the start of the season

  • End of July - Travel player evaluations

  • After Evaluations - Late registration begins ($25 late fee will be applied)

  • August 20, 2020 - Fall travel registration closed (No additional registrations will be accepted)

  • September 12, 2020 - First Game (planned)

A separate email will be sent out containing a link to order uniforms. All incoming 5th graders and new players will need to order a uniform.
